83:1
وَيۡلٞلِّلۡمُطَفِّفِينَ١
Saheeh International
Woe to those who give less [than due].
Surah Al-Mutaffifin
Ayah-36, Makkah
83:2
ٱلَّذِينَإِذَاٱكۡتَالُواْعَلَىٱلنَّاسِيَسۡتَوۡفُونَ٢
Saheeh International
Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.
83:3
وَإِذَاكَالُوهُمۡأَووَّزَنُوهُمۡيُخۡسِرُونَ٣
Saheeh International
But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss.
83:4
أَلَايَظُنُّأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَأَنَّهُممَّبۡعُوثُونَ٤
Saheeh International
Do they not think that they will be resurrected.
83:5
لِيَوۡمٍعَظِيمٖ٥
Saheeh International
For a tremendous Day.
83:6
يَوۡمَيَقُومُٱلنَّاسُلِرَبِّٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ٦
Saheeh International
The Day when mankind will stand before the Lord of the worlds.
83:7
كَلَّآإِنَّكِتَٰبَٱلۡفُجَّارِلَفِيسِجِّينٖ٧
Saheeh International
No! Indeed, the record of the wicked is in sijjeen.
83:8
وَمَآأَدۡرَىٰكَمَاسِجِّينٞ٨
Saheeh International
And what can make you know what is sijjeen.
83:9
كِتَٰبٞمَّرۡقُومٞ٩
Saheeh International
It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed.
83:10
وَيۡلٞيَوۡمَئِذٖلِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ١٠
Saheeh International
Woe, that Day, to the deniers.
83:11
ٱلَّذِينَيُكَذِّبُونَبِيَوۡمِٱلدِّينِ١١
Saheeh International
Who deny the Day of Recompense.
83:12
وَمَايُكَذِّبُبِهِۦٓإِلَّاكُلُّمُعۡتَدٍأَثِيمٍ١٢
Saheeh International
And none deny it except every sinful transgressor.
83:13
إِذَاتُتۡلَىٰعَلَيۡهِءَايَٰتُنَاقَالَأَسَٰطِيرُٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ١٣
Saheeh International
When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples.
83:14
كَلَّاۖبَلۡۜرَانَعَلَىٰقُلُوبِهِممَّاكَانُواْيَكۡسِبُونَ١٤
Saheeh International
No! Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning.
83:15
كَلَّآإِنَّهُمۡعَنرَّبِّهِمۡيَوۡمَئِذٖلَّمَحۡجُوبُونَ١٥
Saheeh International
No! Indeed, from their Lord, that Day, they will be partitioned.
83:16
ثُمَّإِنَّهُمۡلَصَالُواْٱلۡجَحِيمِ١٦
Saheeh International
Then indeed, they will [enter and] burn in Hellfire.
83:17
ثُمَّيُقَالُهَٰذَاٱلَّذِيكُنتُمبِهِۦتُكَذِّبُونَ١٧
Saheeh International
Then it will be said [to them], "This is what you used to deny.
83:18
كَلَّآإِنَّكِتَٰبَٱلۡأَبۡرَارِلَفِيعِلِّيِّينَ١٨
Saheeh International
No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun.
83:19
وَمَآأَدۡرَىٰكَمَاعِلِّيُّونَ١٩
Saheeh International
And what can make you know what is 'illiyyun.
83:20
كِتَٰبٞمَّرۡقُومٞ٢٠
Saheeh International
It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed.
83:21
يَشۡهَدُهُٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ٢١
Saheeh International
Which is witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].
83:22
إِنَّٱلۡأَبۡرَارَلَفِينَعِيمٍ٢٢
Saheeh International
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure.
83:23
عَلَىٱلۡأَرَآئِكِيَنظُرُونَ٢٣
Saheeh International
On adorned couches, observing.
83:24
تَعۡرِفُفِيوُجُوهِهِمۡنَضۡرَةَٱلنَّعِيمِ٢٤
Saheeh International
You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure.
83:25
يُسۡقَوۡنَمِنرَّحِيقٖمَّخۡتُومٍ٢٥
Saheeh International
They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed.
83:26
خِتَٰمُهُۥمِسۡكٞۚوَفِيذَٰلِكَفَلۡيَتَنَافَسِٱلۡمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ٢٦
Saheeh International
The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete.
83:27
وَمِزَاجُهُۥمِنتَسۡنِيمٍ٢٧
Saheeh International
And its mixture is of Tasneem.
83:28
عَيۡنٗايَشۡرَبُبِهَاٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ٢٨
Saheeh International
A spring from which those near [to Allah] drink.
83:29
إِنَّٱلَّذِينَأَجۡرَمُواْكَانُواْمِنَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُواْيَضۡحَكُونَ٢٩
Saheeh International
Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.
83:30
وَإِذَامَرُّواْبِهِمۡيَتَغَامَزُونَ٣٠
Saheeh International
And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances.
83:31
وَإِذَاٱنقَلَبُوٓاْإِلَىٰٓأَهۡلِهِمُٱنقَلَبُواْفَكِهِينَ٣١
Saheeh International
And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.
83:32
وَإِذَارَأَوۡهُمۡقَالُوٓاْإِنَّهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِلَضَآلُّونَ٣٢
Saheeh International
And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost.
83:33
وَمَآأُرۡسِلُواْعَلَيۡهِمۡحَٰفِظِينَ٣٣
Saheeh International
But they had not been sent as guardians over them.
83:34
فَٱلۡيَوۡمَٱلَّذِينَءَامَنُواْمِنَٱلۡكُفَّارِيَضۡحَكُونَ٣٤
Saheeh International
So Today those who believed are laughing at the disbelievers.
83:35
عَلَىٱلۡأَرَآئِكِيَنظُرُونَ٣٥
Saheeh International
On adorned couches, observing.
83:36
هَلۡثُوِّبَٱلۡكُفَّارُمَاكَانُواْيَفۡعَلُونَ٣٦
Saheeh International
Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do.
