91:1
وَٱلشَّمۡسِوَضُحَىٰهَا١
Saheeh International
By the sun and its brightness.
Surah Ash-Shams
Ayah-15, Makkah
91:2
وَٱلۡقَمَرِإِذَاتَلَىٰهَا٢
Saheeh International
And [by] the moon when it follows it.
91:3
وَٱلنَّهَارِإِذَاجَلَّىٰهَا٣
Saheeh International
And [by] the day when it displays it.
91:4
وَٱلَّيۡلِإِذَايَغۡشَىٰهَا٤
Saheeh International
And [by] the night when it covers it.
91:5
وَٱلسَّمَآءِوَمَابَنَىٰهَا٥
Saheeh International
And [by] the sky and He who constructed it.
91:6
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِوَمَاطَحَىٰهَا٦
Saheeh International
And [by] the earth and He who spread it.
91:7
وَنَفۡسٖوَمَاسَوَّىٰهَا٧
Saheeh International
And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it.
91:8
فَأَلۡهَمَهَافُجُورَهَاوَتَقۡوَىٰهَا٨
Saheeh International
And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness.
91:9
قَدۡأَفۡلَحَمَنزَكَّىٰهَا٩
Saheeh International
He has succeeded who purifies it.
91:10
وَقَدۡخَابَمَندَسَّىٰهَا١٠
Saheeh International
And he has failed who instills it [with corruption].
91:11
كَذَّبَتۡثَمُودُبِطَغۡوَىٰهَآ١١
Saheeh International
Thamud denied [their prophet] by reason of their transgression.
91:12
إِذِٱنۢبَعَثَأَشۡقَىٰهَا١٢
Saheeh International
When the most wretched of them was sent forth.
91:13
فَقَالَلَهُمۡرَسُولُٱللَّهِنَاقَةَٱللَّهِوَسُقۡيَٰهَا١٣
Saheeh International
And the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, "[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink.
91:14
فَكَذَّبُوهُفَعَقَرُوهَافَدَمۡدَمَعَلَيۡهِمۡرَبُّهُمبِذَنۢبِهِمۡفَسَوَّىٰهَا١٤
Saheeh International
But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them].
91:15
وَلَايَخَافُعُقۡبَٰهَا١٥
Saheeh International
And He does not fear the consequence thereof.
