96:1
ٱقۡرَأۡبِٱسۡمِرَبِّكَٱلَّذِيخَلَقَ١
Saheeh International
Recite in the name of your Lord who created.
Surah Al-'Alaq
Ayah-19, Makkah
96:2
خَلَقَٱلۡإِنسَٰنَمِنۡعَلَقٍ٢
Saheeh International
Created man from a clinging substance.
96:3
ٱقۡرَأۡوَرَبُّكَٱلۡأَكۡرَمُ٣
Saheeh International
Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous.
96:4
ٱلَّذِيعَلَّمَبِٱلۡقَلَمِ٤
Saheeh International
Who taught by the pen.
96:5
عَلَّمَٱلۡإِنسَٰنَمَالَمۡيَعۡلَمۡ٥
Saheeh International
Taught man that which he knew not.
96:6
كَلَّآإِنَّٱلۡإِنسَٰنَلَيَطۡغَىٰٓ٦
Saheeh International
No! [But] indeed, man transgresses.
96:7
أَنرَّءَاهُٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰٓ٧
Saheeh International
Because he sees himself self-sufficient.
96:8
إِنَّإِلَىٰرَبِّكَٱلرُّجۡعَىٰٓ٨
Saheeh International
Indeed, to your Lord is the return.
96:9
أَرَءَيۡتَٱلَّذِييَنۡهَىٰ٩
Saheeh International
Have you seen the one who forbids.
96:10
عَبۡدًاإِذَاصَلَّىٰٓ١٠
Saheeh International
A servant when he prays.
96:11
أَرَءَيۡتَإِنكَانَعَلَىٱلۡهُدَىٰٓ١١
Saheeh International
Have you seen if he is upon guidance.
96:12
أَوۡأَمَرَبِٱلتَّقۡوَىٰٓ١٢
Saheeh International
Or enjoins righteousness.
96:13
أَرَءَيۡتَإِنكَذَّبَوَتَوَلَّىٰٓ١٣
Saheeh International
Have you seen if he denies and turns away.
96:14
أَلَمۡيَعۡلَمبِأَنَّٱللَّهَيَرَىٰ١٤
Saheeh International
Does he not know that Allah sees.
96:15
كَلَّالَئِنلَّمۡيَنتَهِلَنَسۡفَعَۢابِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ١٥
Saheeh International
No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock.
96:16
نَاصِيَةٖكَٰذِبَةٍخَاطِئَةٖ١٦
Saheeh International
A lying, sinning forelock.
96:17
فَلۡيَدۡعُنَادِيَهُۥ١٧
Saheeh International
Then let him call his associates.
96:18
سَنَدۡعُٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ١٨
Saheeh International
We will call the angels of Hell.
96:19
كَلَّالَاتُطِعۡهُوَٱسۡجُدۡۤوَٱقۡتَرِب۩١٩
Saheeh International
No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah].
